Today the ICC International Centre for ADR (“Centre”) welcomes participants of ICC’s 1st annual conference on International Arbitration in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) to a breakfast chat on ADR and Expertise. The breakfast will kick off the third and final day of the biggest arbitration conference ever held in the Middle East by the International Chamber of Commerce.
This complimentary event for the Conference participants provides participants with an opportunity to learn more about the use of Amicable Dispute Resolution (ADR) proceedings, such as mediation, as well as Expertise for the time- and cost-efficient resolution of disputes.
Hannah Tümpel, who heads the Centre, will be presenting the ICC ADR and the ICC Expertise Rules. Further, she will be giving an insight into the Centre’s experience with administering domestic and international disputes under these sets of rules. Special focus will be given to the question of how ADR and Expertise proceedings can be used before and during arbitration proceedings by parties, lawyers and arbitrators in order to increase the quality and success of the dispute resolution process.
