The selection of the arbitration seat is one of the most critical, yet often overlooked, elements of an arbitration clause. The seat determines not only the law applicable to the procedure but also which courts will have jurisdiction to intervene throughout the arbitration process. This conference aims to provide the participants with expert advice on how to choose the seat of arbitration and the significance of such choice on all aspects of the arbitration process.
Who should attend?
This conference is aimed at young arbitration practitioners of approximately 40 years or under: counsel, arbitrators, corporate counsel or academics. The ICC YAF Conference is an ideal forum for young practitioners to exchange thoughts on international arbitration and to enrich their network in the region.
