International Arbitration Without Frontiers

Beijing, • English and Chinese (Mandarin) with simultaneous interpretation

The ICC International Court of Arbitration is co-organizing, with the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), an event kindly sponsored by Pinsent Masons entitled “International Arbitration Without Frontiers,” to be held in Beijing on 7 June.

Description

International Arbitration is not necessarily international when physical and mental boundaries are in place. The difference in legal system and traditions, the variation of the understandings and practice, or even the use of languages and dialects may create boundaries to international Arbitration to the parties and thus lead to the challenges for arbitral institutions to provide internationalised arbitral services to its clients. “International Arbitration without frontiers”, jointly organised by ICC and CIETAC, is a conference to discuss what efforts have been made to create an environment for international arbitration without frontiers and how such efforts have benefited the disputing parties in China and beyond.
