ICC, headquartered in Paris, is the world’s largest business organization that works to promote international trade, responsible business conduct, and a global approach to regulation, to accelerate inclusive and sustainable growth to the benefit of all. As an important part of its work, ICC also helps to address the difficulties that businesses may encounter in international commerce through ICC’s dispute resolution services.
Singapore Business Federation (SBF), as the apex business chamber in Singapore, is also ICC’s National Committee in Singapore and its responsibilities include the nomination of Singapore’s members/representatives to various ICC Arbitration forums (e.g. the ICC Court on International Arbitration, and the ICC Commission on Arbitration and Amicable Dispute Resolution (ADR) and its Task Forces), facilitation of ICC Arbitrations, organisation of workshops, the sale of ICC publications, and the dissemination of relevant ICC arbitration materials (e.g. ICC Dispute Resolution Bulletin) to its members.
This info-sharing event aims to:
(i) Provide law firms with an overview of ICC’s arbitration activities and the benefits/opportunities that will accrue law firms that become members of SBF, as SBF also serves as the ICC National Committee in Singapore (ICC Singapore); and
(ii) Guide law firms on how to become an SBF member.
