Professionals and legal advisors will share their experience on the various mechanisms that can be created while forming joint ventures to avoid disputes, and mainly the specifics of such mechanisms when they apply to energy companies. A particular focus will be directed towards the shareholding mechanisms of the Dutch SPVs, which are often encountered in the corporate world as the counter party, and their fitness with other legal systems. Finally, participants will discuss what type of interim measures are available to the parties in shareholder/joint venture arbitrations and which ones, from the practitioners’ viewpoint, are the best suited for energy related cases.
