The extent of the impact of public order in international arbitration has always been a controversial topic and, ever since the adoption of the New York Convention in 1958, one of the main reasons invoked as grounds for the setting aside of arbitral awards.
This YAF Conference is aimed at presenting a multi-jurisdictional view on the topic both from a theoretical and a practical perspective with the help of Romania’s most esteemed professors and practitioners and following the participation of important guests from other jurisdictions willing to share their experience and views as to what are the limits of public order when it comes to international arbitration.
Who should attend?
This conference is aimed at young arbitration practitioners of approximately 40 years or under: counsel, arbitrators, corporate counsel or academics. The ICC YAF Conference is an ideal forum for young practitioners to exchange thoughts on international arbitration and to enrich their network in the region.
