ICC YAF : MENA Regional Conference 2016

Beirut, Lebanon, • English

The ICC Young Arbitrators Forum (YAF) is hosting a series of Regional YAF Conferences, one for each of the five ICC YAF Regional Chapters. The Middle East and Northern Africa Regional Conference will be held in Beirut on 30 September and 1 October 2016. This event is kindly supported by the International Journal of Arab Arbitration.

The ICC YAF is the oldest, most well-known and largest network of young arbitrators worldwide (almost 10 000 members).

ICC YAF organizes in turn a Global YAF conference, every other year (2013 in New York, 2015 in London), and Regional YAF conferences, one in each region. The ICC YAF organized its previous regional conferences in Dubai and Istanbul. Beirut has been elected as the venue for the 3rd edition of its Europe regional conference to take place on 30 September – 1 October 2016.

The programme will include academic sessions, discussions, debates and workshops, as well as a variety of social events. Sessions will be highly interactive and topics deliberately controversial to foster active participation.

Throughout the different activities participants will foster and strengthen ties within the young arbitration community, as well as with renowned international arbitrators, members of the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration and fellow arbitration practitioners.

Who should attend?

The conference is aimed at arbitration practitioners of approximately 40 years and under: counsel, arbitrators, corporate counsel or academics, and students.

The conference will provide great networking opportunities to strengthen links within the young arbitration community. For more information, please send an email to: rania.elani@iccwbo.org
