ICC YAF: Master class on enforcement of foreign arbitral awards

This master class aims at analyzing the issues involved in the process of enforcement of awards, both domestic and foreign, in India. Young Lawyers, academics, experts will collaborate to fine tune the intricacies and nuances of the procedure involved in the enforcement of Awards and link it to the subsequent process of execution.


The master class will be divided into four sessions, two of them focused on the aspect of enforcement of awards in India.

The other two sessions will address the procedure of execution of award and some of the key challenges/roadblocks involved for the Decree Holder/Award Creditor. . Our experts will also discuss the methods adopted by Award Debtor and Award Creditor.

The master class will also discuss the aspect of Arbitration and enforcement in “friendly” jurisdictions and the ease of process of enforcement in some jurisdictions over others.
