The ICC made amendments to its Arbitration Rules that came into force in March 2017. This event will consider the actual impact of the ICC Expedited Rules of arbitration. Topics to be discussed include: whether parties to arbitration are making use of the Expedited Rules, how they have been used thus far, whether they have been effective at streamlining arbitration, increasing transparency, and reducing costs.
This event will feature a panel of individuals offering a variety of perspectives, including from the viewpoint of a practitioner and an arbitrator. The panel will also discuss practical tips for making arbitral proceedings more efficient and will consider the question – is faster always better?
Who should attend?
This conference is aimed at young arbitration practitioners of approximately 40 years or under: counsel, arbitrators, corporate counsel or academics. The ICC YAF Conference is an ideal forum for young practitioners to exchange thoughts on international arbitration and to enrich their network in the region.
