ICC YAF: Hardship, Interpretation of contracts and Confidentiality issues in International Arbitration

Join this ICC YAF conference and get insight into some of the issues addressed by the VIS MOOT problem, on the eve of the ICC Vis Pre-Moot.

Description

The conference will consist of two panels. The first panel will discuss how arbitrators in international arbitration deal with hardship issues arising in certain sectors of industry, in application of various legislations and notably in French law.

The second panel will discuss different approaches in interpretation of contracts under common law and civil law, as well as what do the applicable law, rules, contracts and arbitral institutions (notably in ICC Rules and practice) provide for confidentiality issues.

Who should attend?

This conference is aimed at young arbitration practitioners of approximately 40 years or under: counsel, arbitrators, corporate counsel or academics and students. The ICC YAF Conference is an ideal forum for young practitioners to exchange thoughts on international arbitration and to enrich their network in the region.
