ICC YAF: Don’t look back in anger: a year under the new arbitration regime

This seminar will be an opportunity to discuss on the impact of the amendments to the legislation on arbitration in Russia one year after their introduction.


The International Chamber of Commerce Young Arbitrators Forum (ICC YAF) is organizing a seminar to discuss the changes introduced by the recent amendments to the legislation on arbitration and how they affect Russian and international practitioners. Clifford Chance is generously sponsoring this conference.


Who should attend?

This conference is aimed at young arbitration practitioners of approximately 40 years or under: counsel, arbitrators, corporate counsel or academics. The ICC YAF Conference is an ideal forum for young practitioners to exchange thoughts on international arbitration and to enrich their network in the region.


16:00-19:00·         Purely domestic Russian disputes: can they be referred to foreign arbitration?

·         Corporate disputes: what this notion includes, and how and under what conditions such disputes can be arbitrated?

·         News from the ICC Court on cases involving Russian and CIS parties.

·         Criteria for the arbitrability of disputes involving public interests: disputes relating to public procurement contracts of the state-owned companies, concession agreements and contracts concerning the use of the public funds.
