Renovating international arbitration: New ICC practices and managing evidence

The ICC Court of Arbitration and ICC Cuba are hosting a conference in La Habana, aimed to discuss topics regarding evidence in international arbitration. Also, it will feature members of the ICC Court and its Secretariat who will explain the amendments to the ICC Rules of Arbitration, as well as other ICC policies to foster transparency in arbitration.

Description

The ICC Conference in Cuba will count on the participation of Alexis Mourre, President of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, other high staff members of the Secretariat of the ICC Court and known professionals in international arbitration, who will discuss diverse topics related to the evidence in international arbitration such as: the evidence phase, assessment of evidential value and onus probandi, the interaction between the arbitral tribunal and how the parties should manage the evidence, among others.

Additionally, they will discuss the reasons which led to the implementation of new policies in the ICC and the revised Arbitration Rules, which entered into force 1 March 2017.

Practicing lawyers, corporate counsels, in-house counsels, arbitrators and other dispute resolution services practitioners, academics and professionals involved and/or interested in obtaining further knowledge and keep up to date with domestic and international arbitration in the Americas.
