ICC Arbitration Conference and book launch

The conference will include two panel discussions on arbitration in Japan and on the enforcement of arbitral awards in different jurisdictions, and will be followed by the launch of the book “Enforcing Arbitral Awards in India”.

Description

The ICC International Court of Arbitration with the support of Herbert Smith Freehills, Japan, FTI Consulting and the University of Kobe will be hosting this conference that will provide an active platform for participants to express their views and engage in interactive debates. The conference will schedule two panel discussions followed by a book launch on “Enforcing Arbitral Awards in India”

The first panel will highlight key issues surrounding what more could be done to further promote Japan as an active seat of arbitration, including by the government, the arbitration community on the ground, institutions such as the ICC and the users themselves.

The panellists in the second session will address issues related to enforcement of arbitral awards in several key jurisdictions including Japan, India, Singapore and United Kingdom.

The conference will be followed by a book launch on “Enforcing Arbitral Awards in India” a recent Lexis Nexis publication.

Who should attend?

All in-house counsel, legal practitioners, arbitrators and academics interested in the field of dispute resolution. The conference is also open to business people who wish to learn more about arbitration as an option for Dispute Resolution in India.
