Empowering the Arbitrator in ICC Arbitrations

ICC Australia is organising an event to empower arbitrators involved in ICC arbitrations.

Description

The seminar will involve

*An overview of the work of the ICC International Court of Arbitration focusing on how the ICC Court supervises procedural aspects of arbitration proceedings.  There will be a mock session of the ICC Court addressing typical issues that arise such as challenges of arbitrators and considering draft final awards.

*An overview of the appointment process for arbitrators appointed to ICC arbitrations, including the involvement of the Australian nominations committee

*A panel discussion focusing on the ICC’s Guide on the Effective Management of ICC Arbitrations can empower arbitrators to manage arbitrations in a cost effective and time efficient manner.
