Vacancy with the ICC International Centre for ADR

Vacancy (CDI) with the Dispute Resolution Department, Documentation and Research Centre

As a leading dispute resolution institution, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) attracts a growing case load from all over the world. ICC’s International Centre for ADR, administers all cases filed under the ICC Mediation, Expert, Dispute Board and DOCDEX Rules and promotes these services worldwide. The working languages of the team are English and French.

The ICC International Centre for ADR is currently recruiting a Deputy Manager. The post is based at ICC’s headquarters in Paris.

The Deputy Manager will be primarily responsible for:

• the day-to-day administration of the cases filed with the Centre under the ICC Mediation, Expert, DOCDEX and Dispute Boards Rules,
• promoting ICC Mediation, Expertise, DOCDEX and Dispute Boards services, including representing ICC at conferences and other events,

The candidate must have a law degree and in-depth know-how of and practical experience in alternative dispute resolution, in particular mediation. He/She must have proven experience speaking in public and presenting complex issues in English.
Ideally, the candidate has proven experience in the organization of international events, such as conferences and trainings, including strategic development. Training as mediator is an advantage.

The candidate must be very well organized, have excellent written and oral communication skills as well as good computer skills, be able to work independently, have a proven ability to work under high pressure, have a very good attitude towards teamwork and have strong organizational skills. Oral and written English at native level and very good French is essential.

Preference will be given to those candidates who have worked in an international environment. Applicants should specify whether they would need French working papers.
