Project Officer (CDI), Dispute Resolution Services  

The Institute is currently recruiting a Project Officer reporting to the Institute Director.

The ICC Institute of World Business Law (the “Institute”) is a unit of the International Chamber of Commerce that studies international business law, fosters a wider knowledge of the law and practices of international business, strengthens the links between practitioners, scholars and researchers and offers lawyers, businesses and students the means to deepen their knowledge of international trade with a view to applying that knowledge in practice.
The Institute is member-based. It carries out various activities that are offered to its members and develops trainings and conferences open to anyone interested in international business law. The Institute is currently recruiting a Project Officer reporting to the Institute Director. The position is based at ICC’s headquarters in Paris.

Responsibilities
The Project Officer will assist the Director in implementing the action plan defined by the Institute and its Council, in line with ICC’s mission and strategic planning.

The role involves administrative tasks such as:
– Handling of the network of members including: updating membership lists, coordinating registration of new members, following up on payment of registration fees, dispatching communications and answering queries;
– Coordinating general promotional activities including: setting up of a calendar of out-going information, webpage and social media updating, promotional mailings etc.

The role equally involves organizational tasks such as:
– Organising membership meetings and colloquia;
– Monitoring timelines on the organization of upcoming trainings;
– Organising the Institute Prize that is awarded every other year (coordinating revisions of rules, development and roll-out of promotional material, liaising with jury members, organizing the award ceremony etc.).

The Project Officer will liaise with other departments of ICC such as Global Events, Knowledge Solutions for the development of transversal projects or the Communication department for the coordination of promotional activities.

Requirements
Ideally, candidates will have experience in project coordination and will be capable to organize projects autonomously from inception to completion, under the supervision of the Director. They will possess good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Candidates will have excellent computer skills (Office, CRM, online platforms such as Teams and Zoom), excellent organizational skills and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates must demonstrate a positive attitude towards team work and be detailed-oriented. Excellent oral and written English is essential. Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
