Lawyer, Legal Services Department (CDI)

The Legal Services Department is currently seeking candidates for the position of Lawyer (CDI).

The role

As a team member of the ICC Legal Services Department the lawyer’s primary responsibilities will be to support the General Counsel in organizing the key meetings of the association and its related entities, conducting due diligence searches, drafting contracts and corporate documents and assisting on tax matters.

Main responsibilities

  • Organize ICC governing body meetings including meetings of the World Council, Executive Board, and Executive Board Committees and liaise with the Office of the ICC Secretary General. Such organization includes logistics, preparation of meeting agendas, notifications, communication of meetings materials, update the calendar of governing bodies meetings
  • Manage access, posting, updates and organization of materials on the ICC governing bodies digital platforms
  • Ensure that all meetings’ materials are properly classified and archived
  • Serve as a central point of contact for national committees, chambers, members and the Executive Board regarding key meetings
  • Liaise with the offices of the Chairmanship in the lead up to and during the meetings
  • Prepare first drafts of meeting minutes and resolutions for follow-up
  • Keep track of follow up actions and implementation of ICC governing bodies decisions
  • Provide support for the governance of ICC affiliates and offices
  • Ensure information related to ICC governing bodies and governance is updated for the intranet and extranet
  • Share responsibility for administrative support in close coordination with the team’s Executive Assistant and the office of the Secretary General

The lawyer can be required to travel to support governing body meetings on-site (up to three times per year)


  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in the similar field are required

Education and Skills

  • Master Degree in business law with a major in company law and corporate governance
  • Perfect fluency in oral and written English. Very good command of French
  • Excellent drafting skills (in English)
  • Organisation and reactivity
  • Ability to work autonomously, while maintaining a strong team spirit
  • Ability to work under pressure and to communicate with high level stakeholders
  • Adaptability to a constantly evolving environment
  • Computer literate and willingness to work in a digital environment
  • Ability to comply strictly with confidentiality requirements is a must

Geographic location: ICC Headquarters – Paris, France (partial remote working possible) – authorisation to work in France is required
