Deputy Director, Arbitration & ADR, India, based in New Delhi

ICC India is looking for a consultant to act as Deputy Director, Arbitration & ADR, India, based in New Delhi at ICC National Committee India

Working closely with the ICC Director, Arbitration & ADR, South Asia, you will :

  • Participate in the development of awareness, knowledge and use of ICC arbitration and other dispute resolution services, together with ICC Dispute Resolution Services
  • Understand and report on the local users’ needs in terms of arbitration and alternative dispute resolution services
  • Team up with the ICC Director for Arbitration and ADR, South Asia
    • in the creation of the annual business plan for India
    • in the coordination of the ICC India Arbitration Group activities
    • in building and maintaining durable relations with corporate counsel, corporate counsel associations, chambers of commerce and relevant government agencies
    • in building and maintaining social media presence in India
  • Deliver presentations to key players in the legal and business community (including government representatives, corporate counsel and lawyers)
  • Undertake research on latest developments in arbitration and prepare statistical reports with focus on India
  • Respond to local queries regarding arbitration and other dispute resolution services pertaining to application of ICC Arbitration and ADR Rules
  • Organize and participate in conferences (including the annual ICC India Arbitration Day) and events, meetings, training sessions and Young Arbitration and ADR Forum (YAAF) events
  • Draft marketing materials, make power point presentations, sponsorship brochures, flyers and coordinate the budget for ICC’s arbitration events in India
  • Prepare articles, correspondence and other material to promote ICC Dispute Resolution Services

Profile:

  • Degree in law with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with knowledge of dispute resolution, particularly international arbitration
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Appetite for business development, ideally supported by some experience in marketing/sales
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proficiency in written as well as spoken English. Fluency in other languages widely spoken in South Asia would also be desirable.
  • Be well-organized and proactive, able to work autonomously
  • Able to travel
  • Proficient in MS Office programmes Ability to use social media for an effective communication
