ICC Indonesia is looking for a consultant to act as Deputy Director, Arbitration & ADR, Indonesia, based in Jakarta, at ICC National Committee Indonesia


Working closely with the ICC Director, Arbitration & ADR, South Asia, you will

  1. Participate in the development of awareness, knowledge and use of ICC arbitration and other dispute resolution services, together with ICC Dispute Resolution Services
  2. Understand and report on the local users’ needs in terms of arbitration and alternative dispute resolution services
  3. Team up with the ICC Director for Arbitration and ADR, South Asia
    • in the creation of the annual business plan for Indonesia
    • in the coordination of the ICC Indonesia Arbitration Group activities
    • in building and maintaining durable relations with corporate counsel, corporate counsel associations, chambers of commerce and relevant government agencies
    • in building and maintaining social media presence in Indonesia
  4. Deliver presentations to key players in the legal and business community (including government representatives, corporate counsel and lawyers)
  5. Undertake research on latest developments in arbitration and prepare statistical reports with focus on Indonesia
  6. Respond to local queries regarding arbitration and other dispute resolution services pertaining to application of ICC Arbitration and ADR Rules
  7. Organize and participate in conferences (including the annual ICC Indonesia Arbitration Day) and events, meetings, training sessions and Young Arbitration and ADR Forum (YAAF) events
  8. Draft marketing materials, make power point presentations, sponsorship brochures, flyers and coordinate the budget for ICC’s arbitration events in Indonesia
  9. Prepare articles, correspondence and other material to promote ICC Dispute Resolution Services


  • Degree in law with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with knowledge of dispute resolution, particularly international arbitration
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Appetite for business development, ideally supported by some experience in marketing/sales
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proficiency in written as well as spoken English. Fluency in other languages widely spoken in South Asia would also be desirable.
  • Be well-organized and proactive, able to work autonomously
  • Able to travel
  • Proficient in MS Office programmes Ability to use social media for an effective communication

Contract Type: Consulting contract with ICC Indonesia (ICC National Committee)

Compensation: According to experience
