Internship – Project Assistant, Global Partnerships and Development (Paris)
We are looking for a six-month intern to contribute to the development and support the activities of our Global Partnerships and Development department.
As the institutional representative of over 45 million businesses in more than 170 countries, the International Chamber of Commerce operates with a core mission to “make business work for everyone, every day, everywhere”.
We act as the primary voice of the real economy in a range of intergovernmental organisations – from the World Trade Organization to the UN climate process – championing the needs of local business in global decision making.
The convening power of our global network enables us to set rules and standards that facilitate over $17 trillion dollars in trade each year – as well as providing tailored products and digital services that directly address the real challenges faced by businesses operating internationally.
We also provide the world’s premier private global dispute resolution services, leveraging ICC’s unique independence, integrity and expertise.
We are looking for a six-month intern to contribute to the development and support the activities of our Global Partnerships and Development department.
The role
Tasks include:
- Contribute to activities of the ICC World Chambers Federation (World Chambers Congress and bidding process, World Chambers Competition, Regional Summits);
- Help prepare content and provide analytics for our World Chambers Federation newsletter;
- Provide support to the implementation of our World Chambers Federation’s value proposition;
- Prepare content and provide technical support for our online community platform Chambers Connect;
- Help coordinate the deployment of the ICC One-Click SME trade toolkit throughout our network of chambers;
- Support activities related to the promotion of ICC Genesis.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate programme related to business administration, management, or a related field.
- Strong academic record, with a preference for candidates who have coursework in project management, and communication.
- The ideal candidate will be a fluent English speaker with strong writing and organisational skills, who is meticulous in carrying out the required duties. English is the working language, but French as well as other languages are highly recommended.
- Candidates must have solid time management skills, excellent communication skills (written and oral), and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Comfortable with responsibility, motivated and strong IT skills are necessary to perform successfully in this position. The intern’s experience will also include both administrative and substantive tasks. You should be a team player who is highly interested in gaining experience in an international environment with a dynamic globally focused team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Important information
- You must still be registered as a student during the time of the internship.
- Nationals from outside the European Union or Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Andorra, Monaco, or Switzerland should get an appropriate visa from the French consulate.
- Interns are required to handle their own travel and accommodation arrangements for the duration of their internship. ICC does not provide scholarships or fellowships.
- The six-month internship programmes are full-time and the average working week is 35 hours.
- The intern will receive a monthly gratification of about €750 gross + meal vouchers + partial compensation (70%) of public transport costs.
