ICC Commission on Competition/BASCAP: Internship

The intern will assist in the development, preparation, implementation and communication of projects/activities of the ICC Commission on Competition and BASCAP (Business Action to Stop Counterfeiting and Piracy).

The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) is seeking a full-time intern/stagiare with a Convention de Stage (and for all non-EU residents, valid papers, i.e. long-stay student visa and/or carte de séjour, as well as health & corporate responsibility insurance coverage) to join the Policy Department in its Paris headquarters as of January 2018 for a minimum period of 3 months.

The intern will assist in the development, preparation, implementation and communication of projects/activities of the ICC Commission on Competition and BASCAP (Business Action to Stop Counterfeiting and Piracy).

The intern will have the opportunity to actively contribute to the activities of the Commission and the special project by performing the following tasks:

  • Support policy advocacy
  • Draft minutes and substantive meeting summaries
  • Support event planning and logistics
  • Research into background themes and news items
  • Formatting upcoming publications
  • Assistance with ad hoc projects
  • Assist policy and advocacy team in their day-to-day administrative and substantive work

The ideal candidate should be studying for a Master’s degree or equivalent. He/she will be a fluent/native English speaker with solid English writing and competent organizational skills, who is pro-active, meticulous and motivated in carrying out their required duties, and has an interest in international affairs. The intern’s responsibilities will include both administrative and substantive tasks. He/she should be a team player who is highly interested in gaining experience in an international environment.
