Internship – Commission on Arbitration and ADR and Institute of World Business Law (Paris)
The Commission on Arbitration and ADR and the Institute of World Business Law are currently looking for an intern assisting in the organisation of meetings for the Commission’s activities for a 6-month period starting in April 2023.

The Commission on Arbitration and ADR and the Institute of World Business Law are currently looking for an intern assisting in the organisation of meetings for the Commission’s activities for a 6-month period starting in April 2023.
The role
- Prepare PowerPoints, meetings and other presentations
- Proof-read draft reports, working documents and assisting in preparing background documents and briefing material
- Assist in meetings and help with follow up, including transcripts and drafting minutes
- Back office for Commission and Institute meetings
- Assist with communication and promotion or activities/events on social media
- Logistical preparation for hybrid/in-person meetings and/or events
- Updating programmes and mock cases
- Undertake legal and market research
- Be part of the ICC Institute Prize activities
- Updating statistics
Requirements
- A student with interest in both dispute resolution and marketing/communications is preferred. A legal background is mostly recommended, notably in arbitration and ADR issues. The intern will work in English and French and should ideally have oral and written skills in both languages.
- Strong attention to detail and a rigorous attitude to work is necessary.
- Strong knowledge of computer tools are mandatory such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams Meeting, Internet, Zoom and PDF; and knowledge of Live Event and registration platforms would be a plus.
- Strong organisation and communications skills
- Autonomous, dynamic, and proactive and comfortable in an international setting
Important information:
- Nationals from outside the European Union or Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Andorra, Monaco, or Switzerland should get an appropriate visa from the French consulate. Interns are also required to handle their own travel/accommodation arrangements for the duration of their stay. The ICC is not in a position to provide scholarships/fellowships.
- The 6-month internship programmes are full-time and the average working week is 35 hours.
- The intern will receive a monthly gratification of about EUR 700 gross + meal vouchers + partial compensation (70%) of public transport costs.

- an academic writing sample in English (e.g. submitted paper during university studies)
