Global economic index rises for first time since 2007
Paris, 19 May 2009
The world economic climate index rose in the second quarter of the year for the first time since 2007 as a result of more favourable expectations for the coming six months, but the assessment of the current economic situation worsened yet again, falling to a new record low, ICC and the Ifo Institute for Economic Research said in their latest survey.

ICC issues positions on global economic crisis
Paris, 13 March 2009  The global economic crisis does not stem from a failure of the market economy system nor does it call into question the system’s successful record in creating wealth and significantly raising global living standards, ICC said in a position paper on the current emergency.

Lowest global economic index in history
Paris, 18 February 2009  The world economic climate index fell for the sixth consecutive quarter, dropping 10 percentage points to reach its historically lowest level since the introduction of the World Economic Survey in 1981, according to the ICC and the Ifo Institute for Economic Research, who conduct the survey.
