The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) World Chambers Federation (WCF) has partnered with the Rio Chamber of Commerce (ACRio) and CACB (Brazilian Confederation of Trade and Business Association) to launch a digital platform called “Business to Brazil,” or simply BIZ2BR.

This is an exciting opportunity for chamber members worldwide to benefit from the presence of international and local businesses, as well as industry appointments and business matching throughout the Rio Olympic Games this summer.

In addition to playing host to an array of talented international athletes to the Games which begin in August, Brazil is also welcoming companies from around the globe to conduct business. Online as of 16 February, BIZ2BR conveniently facilitates connections between buyers and sellers who will be present for the Olympic Games.

Using a B4B approach, the new programme aims to aid businesses in promoting their services not only in the coastal city, but also across the rest of the. This is done by a system that matches companies’ business needs with counterparties based on affinities.

“The 2016 Rio Olympic Games are a great opportunity to visit Rio and develop new and lasting business relationships,” said Paulo Protasio, President of ACRio. “We want to welcome all members of chambers worldwide who are affiliated with ICC through the Casa Rio Business Centre and BIZ2BR. Such programmes have been developed in preparation for major upcoming events, such as the World Chambers Congress in 2017 and 2019, as well as the 2020 Olympic Games.”

“The 2016 Rio Olympic Games are a great opportunity to visit Rio and develop new and lasting business relationships. We want to welcome all members of chambers worldwide who are affiliated with ICC through the Casa Rio Business Centre and BIZ2BR.

In conjunction with BIZ2BR, ACRio will be organizing special events and meetings at the Casa Rio Business Centre leading up to and during the Olympic Games. Selected international delegations and local companies will be encouraged to attend in an effort to foster collaboration and provide support to international companies entering the Brazilian market.

In addition, business conferences will also be held at the newly opened science museum, Museu do Amanha.  A wide range of topics will be discussed from energy to infrastructure and logistics to branding, tourism and fashion. To bring clarity to each of the subjects and unveil new business opportunities throughout the country, discussions will be led by C-level executives, entrepreneurs, industry experts, suppliers, authorities, regulators, financers and investors.

The ICC WCF chamber network and their respective member companies are invited to benefit from the service by registering on the online platform.
