Timed to coincide with the UN Sustainable Development Summit, Climate Week NYC brings together influential global figures - and new voices - from the worlds of business, government and society who are leading the low carbon transition.

Here are five events the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) will be leading during this important week ahead of the landmark Paris Climate Conference (COP21).

1 – Launch of the ICC COP21 website

Private sector innovation, investment and expertise will be vital if we are to successfully tackle climate change and promote sustainable and inclusive growth. That’s why ICC is campaigning for an ambitious global agreement which works with business to speed emissions reductions and build climate resilience.

The new ICC COP21 website is the key platform for business in the run up to COP21. Visit the website for the latest climate policy news, details of key business events at COP21, video interviews and infographics.

2 – #GlobalGoals staff campaign

The Global Goals campaign, run by film director Richard Curtis, aims at raising the profile of the new SDGs by engaging citizens and businesses. Staff at the ICC headquarters in Paris took part in the campaign by showing their support for one of the 17 sustainable development goals, from eradicating poverty to peace and justice.

3 – Twitter Q&A with Novozymes

How can the private sector contribute to financing the implementation of the new sustainable development goals? How can companies place sustainability at the heart of their operations? Join an ICC-hosted Twitter Q&A with Claus Stig Pedersen, Head of Corporate Sustainability at Novozymes on Wednesday 23 September at 2:00 pm EDT / 8:00 pm CEST / 7:00 pm BST.

4 – The SDG Business Forum

On 25-27September, the United Nations will officially adopt a historic agenda, Transforming Our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at the celebration of its 70th anniversary.

The SDG Business Forum will bring together ICC Secretary General John Danilovich, ICC Vice-Chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal, chief executive officers, government leaders, international organizations and civil society to celebrate this landmark event that will highlight how businesses worldwide will continue to be an effective partner and contribute business solutions to the implementation of the new UN development framework.

The SDG Business Forum takes place on 25 September. Register now and follow the event on Twitter using the hashtag #SDGBIZ.

5 – Global Citizen Festival

What does ICC have in common with Beyoncé, Coldplay, Pearl Jam and Ed Sheeran? All will be attending the Global Citizen Festival, a night of festivities featuring an open air concert in Central Park on Saturday 26 September. The festival is a critical lever for achieving policy and financial commitments that will shape the success of the Global Goals over the next 15 years.
